Conditional certificates replace the older “restricted certificate”.

A conditional certificate is issued for certain qualifying medical conditions where the OEUK medical examiner needs to seek approval from the Company Doctor, known a Medical Advisor. The Medical Advisor will confirm if  they are happy to receive you on the basis of your medical condition and the outcome of the medical examination.

Common examples include, but are not limited to, insulin treated diabetics, those on anticoagulant medication and those with allergies requiring an epipen.

The certificates are operator and location specific so the process of obtaining approval has to be repeated when changing operators. The certificate will list the intallations you can be deployed to and any restrictions applicable. Contractors who are not with a specific employer will be most affected by this in terms of needing repeat conditional approval. An administration fee will be applicable for each time we need to seek approval after the first occasion

It is best if you can establish in advance of the medical, contact details of the Medical Advisor and installation medic for the installation you are next to be deployed to. We can contact them in advance to help speed up the process.
